How to Run a Repair Job in Workshop, from Check-In to Release
In Workshop, open a job card when the vehicle arrives, build an estimate of parts and labour, and get the customer's approval by link or record it yourself. Assign a technician, move the job across the Job Board, then generate the invoice and release the vehicle.
How to Add Vehicles and See Their Service History
Open Workshop → Vehicles and click Add Vehicle. Choose the owner, then enter the registration, make, model, year, colour, VIN, engine, transmission, fuel and mileage, and the next service date or mileage for reminders. Workshop → Service History lists every completed job by vehicle.
How to Send an Estimate for the Customer's Approval
On the job card, click + Estimate. Add each part and labour line with its quantity, rate and technician, and any discount. Under Send to customer, send the approval link, or record the customer's answer yourself with Approve or Decline via Counter, Phone or WhatsApp. Only approved work is invoiced.
How to Run a Vehicle Inspection
Open Workshop → Inspections → New Inspection, or + New Inspection on a job card. Choose the vehicle, the purpose (pre-purchase, routine, repair related or diagnostic) and the checklist, record the mileage, and answer each point OK or Not OK. Set up your own checklists under Inspection Checklists.
How to Manage Technicians, Settings and Workshop Reports
Add mechanics under Workshop → Technicians with their name, speciality and phone; they need no login. Workshop → Settings sets job numbering, check-in points, invoice wording and customer texts. Workshop → Reports shows revenue, parts and labour, what was collected and what is outstanding, with breakdowns by service, part, technician and vehicle make.
