Laundry Troubleshooting: Common Messages and Fixes

Short answer

The fixes for the messages laundry staff see most: the Laundry menu is missing, a ticket will not save, a deposit is required, the customer did not get a text, clothes cannot be handed over, a ticket cannot be deleted, and laundry money is not in the till report.

The Laundry menu is missing

Either Laundry is not switched on for your business, or your role has no Laundry permission. The business owner should check Settings → Business Settings → Modules (tick Laundry), then your role under Access Controls → Roles.

"This module is not enabled for your business."

Laundry has been switched off. Switch it on again under Settings → Business Settings → Modules. Nothing is lost while it is off.

Taking clothes in

"Taking clothes in raises a sale, so your role also needs the "Add POS sell" permission."

Ask the business owner to add Add POS sell to your role. See How to Set Up Roles for Laundry Staff.

"A deposit of at least … is required."

The amount paid is below your business's minimum deposit. Take at least the amount shown. The owner sets the percentage in Laundry → Settings → Deposit, and can set it to 0 to take tickets with no deposit.

"An item on this ticket is not on your price list."

A price was removed from the price list while the drop-off screen was open. Reload the page and add the items again.

"You cannot take clothes in at that branch."

Your user account does not include that branch under Access locations. The owner ticks it on your account in Access Controls → Users.

"Giving a discount needs the … permission."

Only staff with Change prices and give discounts on a ticket can give a discount. Ask a supervisor.

"The customer has … in advance, not the … asked for."

The customer's advance balance is smaller than the amount entered under Advance. Use the amount shown and take the rest another way.

"The walk-in customer cannot hold an advance…"

The customer paid more than the ticket, but the walk-in customer cannot keep the change as advance. Choose the customer's own name, or take only what is owed.

The ticket did not print

Your browser blocked the pop-up. Allow pop-ups for SellarPro, then click Print ticket on the ticket page.

Moving and handing over

"Someone else just moved this ticket to …"

Another person moved the ticket at the same moment. Refresh the page; their move stands.

"… pieces came in but … are going out. Add a note explaining the difference."

The count out does not match the count in. Recount; if the difference is real, write why in Note.

"This ticket still owes money."

Your business does not release clothes with a balance owed. Take the full balance.

Texts

The customer did not get a text

  • Check the customer has a mobile number on their customer record.
  • Check the text is switched on in Laundry → Settings → Customer SMS.
  • Check your SMS balance is not empty.

Editing and deleting

"Return exist for the Transaction, edit the return instead."

A refund (sell return) has been made against this ticket's sale, so the ticket cannot be deleted. Deal with the return under Sales first.

"This ticket is closed and can no longer be edited."

Collected and delivered tickets are final. Make any correction through Sales.

Money

Laundry money is not in my cash register close report

That is expected: laundry payments are taken at the laundry desk, not through a till session. They appear in your sales and payment reports, the daily sales summary and Laundry → Reports.

"Something went wrong"

Refresh the page and try once more. If it happens again, contact SellarPro support with the ticket number (or customer) and the time it happened.

Common questions

I saved a ticket twice by mistake. What do I do?
Open the duplicate, click Delete, give the reason "duplicate" and confirm. Its sale is removed and recorded in the Deletion Log.
A price is wrong on a saved ticket.
A supervisor can open the ticket, click Edit and correct the price or quantity. Payments already taken are kept.
