How to Collect Payments from Customers Who Owe You
Open Customers & Suppliers → Customers, click Actions on the customer and choose Pay. Enter the amount, the Payment Method and the date, and save. The money clears their oldest unpaid sales first, and anything extra becomes their advance balance.
When a customer pays off what they owe, record it against the customer rather than against one sale. SellarPro spreads it across their unpaid sales for you.
Record the payment
- Open Customers & Suppliers → Customers.
- Click Actions on the customer and choose Pay. The window shows their Total Sale, Total Paid and Total Sale Due.

Open the customer's Actions menu and choose Pay. - Enter the Amount, choose the Payment Method, and check Paid on.

The amount starts at everything owed. Change it to what the customer is paying. - Add a Payment Note or Attach Document if you like, and click Save.
Where the money goes
- It pays the oldest unpaid sales first.
- If they pay more than they owe, the extra becomes their Advance Balance, ready for their next purchase.
Pay one sale only
To pay a specific invoice, open Sales → All Sales, click Actions on that sale and choose Add payment.
See who owes you
Quick Reports → Debtors List lists every customer with a balance. The dashboard's Receivables & Payables card shows the total, and what is overdue.
Payments taken this way are not added to a cash register. To have a debt payment counted in the till, take it at the POS with Pay due.
