How to Charge Laundry by Weight (per kg)
Add a garment such as "Mixed load (per kg)" to your price list with a price per kilo for each service. At drop-off, tap it and type the weight (for example 4.5) as the quantity, then set Pieces in to the number of garments in the bag. You can mix per-kg loads and per-item garments on one ticket.
Many laundries price everyday washing by the kilo and special garments by the piece. SellarPro handles both on the same ticket.
Step 1: add a per-kg row to your price list
- Open Laundry → Price list.
- In Garments (one per line), add a line such as Mixed load (per kg). Add more if you price differently, for example Whites (per kg) and Bedding (per kg). Click Save rows & columns.
- In the grid, type the price per kilo under each service you offer by weight, such as Wash & Fold or Wash only, and click Save prices.
Step 2: weigh and take it in
- Weigh the bag.
- On Laundry → New drop-off, tap the per-kg price.
- In the quantity box of that line, type the weight, for example 4.5. The line total is the weight times the price per kilo.

4.5 kg at 15.00 a kilo is 67.50. - In the description, note what is in the bag, such as "2 bedsheets, towels, school uniforms".
Correct the pieces count. Pieces in fills itself from the quantities, so a 4.5 kg load counts as 5 pieces. Type the number of garments actually in the bag, because that is the number checked when the clothes go back.
Mixing weight and pieces
Add per-kg loads and per-item garments to the same ticket: for example 4.5 kg of mixed washing plus one suit for dry cleaning. Each is its own line with its own price, and the ticket prints both.
Common questions
Can I set a minimum charge, such as 3 kg minimum?
Does the weight print on the ticket?
