How to Settle Agent Cash and Agent Debts
Sales Agents → Cash settlement lists what each agent collected and has not handed in. Click Settle, count the cash, record what was handed in, and charge any shortfall to the agent. Sales Agents → Agent debts lists what agents owe, from cash shortfalls or stock shortages; it is deducted from their next commission unless repaid or waived.
Settle the day's cash
- Open Sales Agents → Cash settlement. Awaiting settlement lists each agent holding cash they collected and have not yet handed in.
- Click Settle for the agent. Every cash payment they recorded is listed, including debts they collected. Mobile money, card and bank payments are listed but not counted as cash in hand.
- Count the cash and enter what was handed in.
- Save. The settlement is Balanced, Short or Over. For a shortfall, you can charge it to the agent as a debt.
Past settlements are listed below, so you can see each agent's record.
Agent debts
Sales Agents → Agent debts lists what each agent owes: cash shortfalls, and stock shortages charged when a van count was resolved. A debt is deducted from the agent's next commission payout, unless they repay it or you waive it.
