How to Set Assessments and Issue Certificates
Open Training → Assessments → New assessment. Choose the intake, name it, set its type, date, the mark it is out of, pass mark and weight, and enter marks as they are graded. On the intake's Graduation tab, tick students, mark them completed and issue their certificates; download them all as one PDF.
Set an assessment
- Open Training → Assessments and click New assessment.
- Choose the Cohort. Assessments are set per intake, so each can sit different papers.
- Name the Assessment and choose its Type: Quiz, Test, Assignment, Practical, Examination, Project or Final assessment.
- Set the Date, what it is marked Out of, the Pass mark % and its Weight in the overall result. Weights are relative: 3/3/4 and 30/30/40 mean the same.
- Choose the Instructor and save.
Enter each student's mark as it is graded, and publish the results when they are final. The intake's Results tab shows each student's overall result.
Issue certificates
- Open the intake and choose the Graduation tab.
- Tick the students, and click Mark selected completed.
- Click Issue certificates to selected. A student who has not met a requirement, such as attendance, the pass mark or fees, is only certified if you give a Reason, which is recorded on their certificate.
- Click Download all (PDF) to print every certificate at once.
Each certificate carries a QR code an employer can scan to check it is genuine. All certificates are listed under Training → Certificates, where one can be revoked if needed. Which requirements block a certificate is set in Training → Settings.
