How to Schedule Classes and Take Attendance
On the intake's Weekly pattern tab, add the days and times it meets and generate its classes. Training → Timetable shows every class by day, week or month. Instructors open Training → Attendance (or My classes) to take each class register, marking each student present, late, absent or excused.
Schedule the classes
- Open the intake under Training → Cohorts and choose the Weekly pattern tab.
- Add each day and time the intake meets, for example Monday and Wednesday, 4pm to 6pm.
- Generate the classes. Every class between the intake's start and end dates is created.
Training → Timetable shows them all by day, week, month or as a list, filtered by intake and instructor.
Take the register
- Open Training → Attendance. Registers due lists today's classes. Instructors can also use My classes on their phone.
- Open the class and mark each student: present, late, absent or excused.
- Save the register.
Only students whose place is active, meaning a fee has been paid, appear on the register.
The Attendance report shows each student's attendance against the minimum. Whether a late arrival or an excused absence counts as present is set in Training → Settings.
