Who wrote this: SellarPro publishes this guide, and SellarPro is one of the options in it. Every other product is described from its own website, prices are as published when we checked on 13 October 2026, and we say where another product is the better choice. Prices change — confirm on each vendor’s page before you buy.

SellarPro
POS and inventory in one system, priced in cedis from GH₵99/month. Every sale updates stock; purchases record cost by supplier; low-stock and dead-stock reports, stock-takes, transfers between branches and expiry tracking (with a stop-selling window) are built in, and the till keeps working offline. Choose it for shops, pharmacies, supermarkets and wholesalers. Look elsewhere if you mainly ship online orders from warehouses.
Zoho Inventory
Order and warehouse management from the Zoho suite. A free plan covers 50 orders a month, 1 user and 2 locations; paid plans raise orders, users and locations and are priced per organisation in foreign currency. Its pricing page lists no point of sale. Choose it for order-driven and online businesses already using Zoho. Source: zoho.com/inventory/pricing.
Odoo
An ERP whose Inventory app can run alone free (One App Free, unlimited users) or with POS, accounting and more on a per-user plan; implementation is extra. Choose it if you want one ERP and can invest in setting it up. Source: odoo.com/pricing.
Loyverse
Free POS with essential inventory and multi-store management; advanced inventory (purchase orders, transfers, stock counts) is a paid add-on per store. Choose it to start free in one small store. Source: loyverse.com/pricing.
Excel
Free, familiar and fine for a few products and one careful person. It cannot see a sale until someone types it, and it cannot tell who changed what. Our Excel vs POS comparison covers when it stops being enough.
What to check before you choose
- Does a sale update stock by itself? If not, stock figures are only as good as the person typing them.
- Cartons and pieces. Can you buy in cartons and sell in pieces without breaking the count?
- Expiry and batches for anything that goes off.
- Transfers between branches recorded on both sides.
- Stock-takes that show the difference in cedis, not just units.
