About this product

A proper till drawer, not a box under the counter. Steel body, a removable tray with clips for notes and separate compartments for coins, and a key lock so cash can be secured or lifted out whole at closing.

It opens electronically. An RJ11 cable runs to the receipt printer, and the drawer springs open the moment a sale prints — so it is shut by default and opens only when a sale justifies it. That is the quiet control benefit: the drawer is tied to a transaction rather than to whoever feels like opening it.

The removable tray is what matters at close of business. The whole tray goes to the back office for counting, and a second tray takes its place immediately so the next shift starts clean. There is a slot at the front for cheques and larger notes that should sit under the tray rather than in it.
